The First On Human-Nonhuman Relations Podcast.

This first podcast is short - I am going to aim for 30 minutes usually, since that's a good time to discuss an issue.

When I played this back through speakers, the sound was distorted - the distortion went away by reducing the bass. The sounds was fine on laptop speakers. If it is bad for you, please let me know (via the comments, Twitter or FB) because I'm still experimenting with level.

The first OHNR podcast is designed to introduce me and some sociological themes and be a "taster" for things to come. I hope you find it useful.

Dear Roger:

First--the positive: a great first podcast. I really liked how you established the framework in which you will analyze the issues.

Second--the negative: it was a cheap shot to have a bell and a whistle. I recognize that there is increasing competition for podcast listeners but this was low!! I shall continue to have no bell or whistle.

Seriously--terrific, Roger. It's great to have another intelligent voice for veganism, abolition, and non-violence.

Thanks Gary,

Hmmm. In the light of what you say, I think I may cancel the fireworks and 40-piece orchestra for next time.

Congratulations for you first podcast with bells and whistles!

Lately I have had the chance to observe my 3-year-old goddaughter learning through her first books at school how dangerous snakes are, how nice is to go fishing, how dirty cockroaches are and so on. I feel sad for her because that was done to me too and it was a long road to realize how misconceived I was.

Look forward to hearing more from you on sociological approach.

Best wishes,

Great podcast - I'm anxious to learn more of the cultural indoctrinations that keeps us rooted in speciesism. The more knowledge the more likely change will come...
BTW - I didn't think anyone's accent could rival the charm that Elizabeth's holds... Yours however is definately a close second!
